A free, open-source Google Workspace tool designed for school districts to securely distribute state assessment reports and sensitive student documents to families.
Distributing thousands of sensitive student documents—such as state assessment reports (MCA, ACCESS), IEP updates, or special education records—is a logistical challenge. Physical mail is expensive and slow, while attaching PDFs directly to emails can pose significant FERPA security risks if sent to the wrong address.
The Secure Assessment Portal solves this by leveraging your existing Student Information System (SIS) and Google Workspace to create a seamless, highly secure, and mobile-friendly file delivery system.
Upload & Configure: Upload your PDF reports to a secure Google Drive folder and populate the template spreadsheet with your student roster and guardian emails.
Distribute via SIS: Use your Student Information System (e.g., Infinite Campus, Skyward, PowerSchool) to email families a link to your custom web portal.
Secure Authentication: Parents click the link, enter their email address, and instantly receive a 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP) in their inbox.
Download: Upon verifying the code, the portal cross-references the email against your roster, fetches the specific student's PDF(s) directly from Google Drive, and presents them for immediate download.
